I recently purchased the 8bitdo 2.4 GHz M30 controller for the Sega Genesis Mini / Mega Drive Mini 1 and 2. I’ve had quite a bit of experience with 8bitdo products and absolutely love them. Each controller or adapter I own was purchased by me, and I have never been disappointed. In addition to using these controllers, I’ve covered them on YouTube.
According to 8bitdo, the M30 2.4 GHz controller only supports the Genesis Mini / Nintendo Switch.

I published a video the other day showing the controller and it’s primary purpose:
I have found that in addition to the intended uses, the controller can also be used on the MiSTer FPGA.
To end this blog post, let me explain why I bought this controller. I bought it for the Sega Astro City Mini.

While researching compatible controllers, this 8bitdo M30 seems to be the only one that is natively compatible with Sega’s arcade mini, short of their official one.
What else should I test this controller with? Any ideas?
