Another Intellivison Console

Mike’s Gaming Gala interviewed William Moeller of Elektronite about BBG Entertainment’s console plans with #intellivision!

The new system will be a FPGA based console that will fulfill the dreams of the original Intellivision III, which was never released. You may be aware of the “Intellivision System III.” That system is different than the planned “Intellivision III.”

The plans are largely speculative. An example given was plugging in the original BurgerTime, but getting enhancements for the Intellivision III. Also some games may be included. They are planning to make two versions; the FPGA with cartridge support and the cheaper alternative based on emulation. They even talked about allowing alternate controllers. The original controllers really sucked!
