Dead Cells PS5 Upgrade – No Save Transfer, No Thanks!

I have the PlayStation 4 (PS4) version of Dead Cells. Unfortunately, with the recent PlayStation 5 (PS5) update, there is no means to transfer the data to the modern console. I thought I was missing something until I found this site.

Why would a developer do something like this, especially on a rogue-style game? I think it is a huge omission, unless it is some weird Sony mandate…?

Fortunately, the game is also available on Xbox and Switch. Xbox usually has a seamless transfer between generations (Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S).

If you are determined to stick with the PS5 version of the game, you have these improvements:

  • Haptic Feedback
  • Adaptive Triggers
  • Audio Feedback

Keep in mind, if you do upgrade, you will start all over. I may use this as an excuse to move to another platform.
