Double Dragon Gaiden Release Date Announced

Modus Games and Secret Base confirmed Double Dragon: Gaiden will be available on July 27, 2023. As I mentioned in the previous article:

A modern version of Double Dragon is coming to consoles. Dubbed “Double Dragon: Gaiden,” the game looks like a modern rendition of the classic, and still maintains a retro look.

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons recalls the series’ classic aesthetic with refreshed pixel art visuals, sporting updated-yet-faithful appearances for both returning heroes and villains and a stirring soundtrack which keeps players ready for the next fight. With unlockable bonuses, adjustable difficulty levels and optional permadeath and infinite modes, Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is a robust revitalization of the series’ signature side scrolling action. With two-player local co-op, the action quadruples as you and a friend clean up the mean streets of NYC. Online co-op is planned as a post-launch update later this year.
