Starting today, you can pre-order a copy of Hammerin’ Harry (originally by IREM) for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), a first for North America.  Prior to Retro-bit, these games were only available in Japan and Europe.

You can get these games in one of three options: 1) Together as a set for $99.99, 2) Hammerin’ Harry by itself for $54.99 or 3) Hammerin’ Harry 2 for $54.99.

The “Hammerin’ Harry – Collector’s Edition” comes with the following for $54.99:

  • Features the official NES® port of the original 1990 arcade – released for the first time in North America on a cartridge!
  • Oak Wood Hammerin’ Harry 8-Bit Cartridge
  • Numbered Deluxe Hardcover Cartridge Packaging
  • Full-Colored Instruction Manual
  • Exclusive Acrylic Cartridge Display Stand

The “Hammerin’ Harry 2: Dan the Red Strikes Back – Collector’s Edition” comes with the following, also for $54.99:

  • Officially released outside of Japan and translated for the first time
  • Freshly Paved Hammerin’ Harry 2 8-Bit Cartridge
  • Numbered Deluxe Hardcover Cartridge Packaging
  • Full-Colored Instruction Manual
  • Exclusive Acrylic Cartridge Display Stand

Personally, if I got the game, I would be the set. Why not get both games from the onset? Your choices in North America are both Castlemania and Limited Run Games. Which would you choose?

I personally prefer Castlemania. I have discussed Limited Run Games, numerous times on Twitter and on YouTube.
