CD Projekt Red finally gave The Witcher III the necessary update that includes cross progression saves. Up until recently, the Nintendo Switch could export the save, but could not import a 4.0+ save. I explained the process in a YouTube video.

Yesterday, I released another video where I go through the process of loading synchronized GOG saves:

The Steps

If you don’t want to watch a 53 second video, I’ve got you covered here:

At the main screen, select, “My Rewards.”

Next up, either go to the listed website or use the QR code to access your GOG.com account.

It would be wise to log into GOG.com before you use the QR code, or the provided website. Once you get prompted with the rewards, like this:

Go back to the main screen, and select “Load Game”

You should now see the games with a cloud icon, between the date and the type of save.

Just ensure you save the game after the update is finished. Old saves are not compatible with the new version.
