Retro Fighters announced their wireless StrikerDC controller for the SEGA Dreamcast and it is set for release on November 15, 2023. While I bought the wired StrikerDC, and have enjoyed it. (A video will follow on my YouTube channel soon). I do plan to review the wireless StrikerDC upon its release.

In the meantime, I decided to use two things I already had; the Retro Fighters Defender for PlayStation 2 (PS2) and the Dreamcast Brook Adapter. I featured them both on YouTube some time ago. These are the videos:

I put these two devices together and was able to use the PS2 Defender on my Dreamcast.

Essentially what you do is this:

  1. Connect the Brook adapter to the Dreamcast
  2. Connect the USB dongle from the PS2 Defender to the Brook adapter.
  3. Press the button on the back of the controller to sync the Defender to the USB dongle.
  4. Play Dreamcast games with a wireless controller.

Subscribe to my YouTube channel and hit the bell to see when I drop the StrikerDC review video.
