Retro-bit has been on fire lately. I have being buying their re-releases since the Toaplan Collection, and I have covered these games extensively. Unfortunately, I do not play these games too much beyond my coverage. What I mean is; I get really into the game when I receive the cartridge, but beyond that, I don’t play the games too much afterwards. Metal Storm and Truxton seem to be the only ones that hold interest for me.
I’m not excited about this announcement because both El Viento and Sol-Deace are on the Evercade, as part of Renovation Collection 1.
Buying these games again, makes them a hard sell for me. I already have them on another, albeit less comfortable console. I am rather indifferent on El Viento. Sol-Deace is a solid side-scrolling shooter. It has a Sega CD counterpart called, Sol-Feace. According to Retro-bit, there is no plan to release that one, at this time.
Here are Retro-Bit’s announcement trailers:
If these games don’t suit you, you can always check out the Retro-bit release of Hammerin’ Harry 1 & 2.
