Updates to Xbox Game Pass

Along with new games for the month, Microsoft revealed the Xbox Game Pass Referral Program.

Microsoft introduced the “Xbox Game Pass Friend Referral” program. With this program, those with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can give up to five friends a free 14-day PC Game Pass trial. In order to use the trial, the friend must be new to Game Pass.

GamePass Releases

Starting today RedFall is available on Xbox Series X|S, Cloud and PC, for GamePass subscribers.

The remaining games coming to GamePass this month:

• Weird West: Definitive Edition (Xbox Series X|S) – May 8
• Shadowrun Trilogy (PC) – May 9
• Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – May 11

The games that are leaving this month on May 15, 2023 are:

• Before We Leave (Cloud, Console, and PC)
• Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)
• Hearts of Iron IV (PC)
• Her Story (PC)
• Umurangi Generation: Special Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)

I’ve read RedFall has not faired well, critically. Looking at MetaCritic, it seems that quite a few people have issues with the game. By releasing the game on GamePass, many will be able to check out the game without going to any additional expense. Judging by the complaints about Jedi: Survivor, and my opposing views, I wonder if RedFall has as many problems as reviewers say.
